Big Walk System Requirements (PC & Mac)
The good news: Big Walk's GPU floor is remarkably low — a GTX 750 Ti from 2014 clears the minimum. The catch: a 12 GB RAM minimum, which is unusually high for a stylized indie game and rules out some older 8 GB laptops. All tables below are the official specs from the Steam page, as of Aug 6, 2026.
PC requirements (Windows)
| Spec | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10 (64-bit) | Windows 11 |
| CPU | Intel i7-7700K / AMD Ryzen 5 1600X | Intel i5-10600K / Ryzen 7 3700X |
| RAM | 12 GB | 16 GB |
| GPU | GTX 750 Ti 2 GB / Radeon R7 370 2 GB / Intel Arc A380 6 GB | GTX 1070 8 GB / RX 5600 XT 8 GB / Arc A750 8 GB |
Mac requirements (macOS)
| Spec | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| OS | macOS 15 | macOS 15 |
| CPU | Apple Silicon: M1 or newer | M3 or newer |
| RAM | 16 GB | 16 GB |
The Mac version requires Apple Silicon (M1 or newer) — if your Mac has an Intel processor, Big Walk won't run on it. Every Apple Silicon Mac from late 2020 onward clears the CPU bar, but note the 16 GB RAM requirement excludes base 8 GB models.
What the specs actually mean
- The 12 GB RAM minimum is the real gatekeeper. Many older desktops and budget laptops ship with 8 GB. If you're at 8 GB, closing browsers and launchers may not be enough — treat 12 GB as a hard floor.
- GPU is almost a non-issue on PC. A GTX 750 Ti / Arc A380 minimum means even integrated-adjacent hardware from years ago qualifies. For 12-player lobbies with voice, CPU headroom matters more than the GPU.
- The recommended tier targets comfortable 1080p+. GTX 1070 / RX 5600 XT-class cards were mid-range in 2019–2020; anything recent mid-range will exceed them.
Steam Deck
Valve has not published an official Steam Deck compatibility rating for Big Walk as of Aug 6, 2026. On paper the hardware targets look Deck-friendly, but until Valve (or the developer) confirms — especially for voice chat behavior — we'd call it "likely playable, unverified". Watch this space; we'll update the moment a rating lands.
